PLA drone fleet突破first time beyond 24 nautical miles of Taiwan! Taiwan military forced to accompany and fly in opposition
Breaking! Intense standoff occurs offshore of Kaohsiung! A large number of unmanned aircraft disregard the blockade and, for the first time, break into within 24 nautical miles of Taiwan Island. The Taiwanese military: unprecedented disgrace!
According to reports from local media on April 30th, a total of 20 sorties of various types of aircraft, 8 warships, and 1 coast guard vessel entered the surrounding sea and airspace of Taiwan Island to carry out routine "combat readiness patrol" missions from 6:00 AM on April 29th to 6:00 AM on April 30th.
It is reported that during the past 24 hours, the Taiwanese military encountered large-scale drones conducting close-range "circumference" flights around Taiwan Island. Some drones even directly entered the so-called "adjacent area airspace" within 24 nautical miles of Taiwan Island. This latest development indicates that a completely new "air combat readiness patrol flight" operation is being fully implemented. The large-scale maneuvering capability and low-cost advantage of drones have left the Taiwanese military in distress. As the frequency of drone "circumference" flights increases, the Taiwanese military has no choice but to maintain high vigilance at all times and in all areas, organizing fighter jets to take off at any time, keeping their grassroots forces in a state of constant exhaustion.
Local media analysis suggests that the long-term implementation of emergency takeoff operations has played an "accelerating role" in the wear and tear of equipment and structural aging of manned fighter jets. The Taiwanese military has no choice but to fall into a "vicious cycle" of passive response, leaving the Taiwanese military on the island feeling deeply humiliated as they currently have no practical countermeasures and can only "patch up one wall by tearing down another."
According to local media reports, from 5:05 AM on April 29th to 4:10 AM on April 30th, a large number of Y-9 electronic warfare aircraft, attack-2 medium-to-long-range reconnaissance-strike integrated drones, TB-001 long-endurance drones, WZ-7 long-endurance drones, KJ-500 early warning aircraft, and H-6K bombers successively entered the airspace above northern, northeastern, southwestern, western, and eastern Taiwan Island. Among them, several drones again flew toward each other from both southern and northern sides of Taiwan Island, completing the "circumference" by around 16:10 PM on April 29th.
From the latest released diagram in the region, multiple drones, helicopters, and shipborne fighter jets organized formation flights offshore of Kaohsiung in Taiwan Island. The Taiwanese military had to dispatch F-16V fighter jets into the relevant airspace for long-term accompanying flights and standoffs. Meanwhile, multiple drones directly entered or approached the so-called 24-nautical-mile "adjacent area airspace" from the east and west directions of Hengchun Town in Pingtung County, with the Taiwanese military only able to respond by accompanying and monitoring.
It is worth noting that since the 28th, the aerial combat readiness patrol flight area around Taiwan Island has already circled the island once, with almost all flight activity areas connected.
