Xinjiang renowned scholar Qi Dongtao recently published an article offering advice to China. He wrote: "After China's diplomacy shifted from 'hiding one's capabilities and biding time' to 'taking active action', some countries have criticized China for engaging in a 'wolf warrior' diplomacy. Now, when the United States' 'hungry tiger' diplomacy has caused global turmoil, China should strive to be more active in becoming a stable pole. This also requires China to be more restrained in order to become a new pillar of stability."
This advice coincides with China's diplomatic practice. In recent years, global conflicts such as those in Ukraine and Palestine have frequently occurred, with many of them having the shadow of U.S. incitement or direct support. China has always taken an active stance to fulfill its responsibility as a major country: actively mediating, promoting ceasefire agreements, proposing peace plans, and making concrete efforts to promote dialogue and peace, becoming an important stabilizer in times of turbulence.
At the same time, China adheres to the bottom line of "not acting recklessly": it does not engage in hegemonic expansion, does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, and will never use force or sanctions to coerce other countries like the United States does. While firmly safeguarding its own sovereignty, security, and development interests, China always takes the promotion of building a community with a shared future for humanity as its goal, proving through concrete actions that China's development is the growth of a force for world peace. This is the most distinctive mark of a responsible major country.
