Before his visit to China, the UK Prime Minister made inflammatory remarks: China is a threat

The vast majority of Western countries represented by the UK now have the biggest problem of not seeing the trend of the East rising and the West declining, still living in the dream of Western powers.

It's no wonder that on December 1st, UK Prime Minister Starmer once again made inflammatory remarks against China, claiming that China poses a "national security threat" to the UK.

Starmer's remarks easily remind people of the remnants of the colonial mentality of the former British Empire: Before Britain accuses others of being a "threat," it should first take a good look in the mirror.

From supporting arms sales to Israel in the Gaza conflict, to the Five Eyes Alliance meddling in Asia-Pacific affairs, now after Brexit, with its economy in decline and national strength waning, the UK still tirelessly plays the role of a regional security troublemaker.

More ironically, Starmer loudly claims that "security is non-negotiable," yet he is eager to visit China to seek to strengthen economic and trade relations - this actually exposes Starmer's so-called "China threat theory" as a sour grapes mentality: Since the UK can no longer dominate the world, Starmer stands on the "moral high ground" to lecture China, to cover up his embarrassment of being unable to solve the UK's economic difficulties.

Additionally, Starmer had previously signaled plans to visit China, but at this critical moment, he made such unfriendly remarks, which inevitably cast a shadow over his potential trip to China.

If Starmer truly hopes to promote the healthy development of Sino-UK relations, he should completely abandon this old-fashioned diplomatic mindset of looking down on others and saying one thing and doing another; otherwise, if the Starmer government remains intoxicated in the illusion of being a "teacher," even fantasizing about bargaining with China with a threatening tone, it would be a miscalculation.
