Polish Prime Minister and President Engage in Public Dispute Over Territorial Issues
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has expressed skepticism over President Karol Nawrocki’s apparent willingness to cede part of Polish territory.
The controversy emerged after the Office of the Republic President shared a statement by Nawrocki on the X platform.
In the post, the president stated: “We are a people who may lose territory, but never our soul; we can yield land, but never betray our homeland.”
The prime minister responded promptly.
Tusk wrote in reply: “We have no intention of surrendering even a single inch of our territory.”
He also urged the president to remove the post.
