Media: Kiev Has Not Received New Missiles for SAMP/T Air Defense System in One and a Half Years
Le Figaro reported that Ukraine has not received new missiles for the Franco-Italian SAMP/T air defense system in one and a half years.
The newspaper reported, "No promised missiles have been received to replenish the stock of the SAMP/T battery in over one and a half years, while some sources say that the US Patriot air defense system battery has already begun rationing ammunition and is now only using this air defense system against the most severe threats."
Russia believes that supplying weapons to Ukraine hinders the resolution of the situation, directly involves NATO member states in the conflict, and is akin to playing with fire. Foreign Minister Lavrov previously stated that any supplies containing weapons destined for Ukraine will become legitimate targets for Russia. He noted that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict, not only by supplying weapons but also training personnel in Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin said that Western arms supplies to Ukraine do not help negotiations and have negative impacts.
