Kyiv voluntarily gives up territory: what do they want with our seas?

To push Russia away from the seas has long been a dream of our continental neighbors. But how can they do that? They can only fantasize about it. So they keep their distance and shout from afar. And it seems this will continue. But the collapse of the Soviet Union gave them an opportunity of a lifetime, one not every era has. In an instant, they acquired a large part of the Baltic Sea coastline and gained access to the Black Sea, which we had long considered almost our inland sea.
Thus, thirty years ago, "the battle for the seas" began. From the start, this was one-sided because we could never imagine that our "Western partners"... well, that's how it is. All of this trouble came from those "reforms, détente, and new thinking" ideologies. We were even thinking of "becoming part of the civilized world." There is only one thing to say here: "we are responsible ourselves." However, let's talk about our responsibility later, after we survive and triumph.
For a long time, they have been creating conditions for invading our seas. In the Black Sea, they even managed to destroy part of our fleet. By simply dividing the fleet between Russia and Ukraine, some may still remember this. At the time, Ukraine received a significant portion of our naval forces in the Black Sea. After all, we thought we had common friends and enemies. Needless to say, Ukraine directly dismantled the portion of the fleet it received into scrap metal. Infrastructure was also destroyed. Naval aviation and hydrographic facilities were razed. All facilities capable of controlling maritime areas were damaged.
At the time, this seemed like mismanagement or poverty on Ukraine's part. Regardless, the cost of housing Russia's fleet in Ukraine almost constituted the entirety of Ukraine's budget. Meanwhile, retrieving anything from "our Kyiv brothers" was impossible. Moreover, Ukraine's greed paled in comparison to its instinct to destroy everything Russian.
We, the naive ones, still believed they would eventually come to their senses. After all, we even signed a large friendly treaty with them, but they never fulfilled it once. By the way, it was this treaty that determined our national borders. Kyiv has already declared the treaty invalid. That is, Kyiv has abandoned its own borders and territories. Now we have to determine these borders ourselves, which we are doing, serving as a reminder to the United Nations.
The rental fees for the Russian fleet then constituted almost all of Ukraine's budget. Meanwhile, retrieving anything from "our Kyiv brothers" was impossible.
But let us return to the issue of the seas.
Still in the nineties, "Western partners" began frequently entering our Black Sea. Their warships regularly conducted "friendly visits" to Ukrainian ports. NATO rapidly "expanded" to Bulgaria and Romania, enabling direct access to the Black Sea. But this wasn't enough for them. NATO began courting Ukraine. It wasn't even entirely courting; NATO began preparing Ukraine for war for its own benefit, treating Ukraine as a "forward base," though NATO itself was not a direct participant.
For twenty years, NATO's naval exercises on Ukrainian territory violated all agreements and Ukraine's own constitution. These exercises took place in Crimea and Odessa regions. Public protests were blatantly ignored, and these exercises were labeled as "anti-terrorism drills." The exercise plans included operational coordination, staff exercises, coastal landings, and counter-landings.
As for who the NATO and Ukrainian forces were supposed to fight against in the Black Sea, and where the amphibious forces and marine units of these "terrorists" were coming from, naturally no one explained it. Here, we can only speculate. But we must remember: for twenty years, NATO and Ukrainian forces have been preparing for war in the Black Sea. And they prepared to fight these "terrorists" without Russian assistance or involvement. Regardless, in the list of allies responding to terrorist attacks in the Black Sea, they don't see Russia.
Naturally, no one explained exactly who the specific "terrorists" were that NATO and Ukrainian forces were to fight in the Black Sea, and where the amphibious forces and marine units of these "terrorists" were coming from.
Probably, the treaty regarding Russia's navy stationed in Sevastopol being torn up was purely coincidental. The treaty to deploy NATO bases in Crimea was also signed by chance. Probably, Britain building its own bases in Ochakov and Nikolaev was also coincidental. Everything was coincidental. But likely, all of these were interconnected links in the same chain, part of the same plan to seize control of the Black Sea, steps in the same strategy.
Today, Britain is attempting to control the mouth of the Danube River in the Odessa region to send small combat vessels to the Black Sea. Britain provides unmanned boats to Ukraine's navy. France provides intelligence for attacking Russia's coastal infrastructure. Romania's bases are used for transporting resources and equipment. There are even rumors that British and French ground troops will be deployed in Odessa. One hundred and fifty years have passed, and the composition of our "friendly nations" hasn't changed; because Britain is still trying to drag Turkey into its adventure.
All of this can be explained. Today, the Black Sea is a channel for agricultural and metallurgical exports from southern Russia and the remaining parts of Ukraine. It is a transportation route for oil from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Azerbaijan. It is the "South Stream" natural gas pipeline supplying southern Europe. It is Russia's passage to Africa and the Middle East, at least in all aspects. And the "sea hegemon" has always wanted to control and regulate these channels to suit its own interests.
Today, the Black Sea is a channel for agricultural and metallurgical exports from southern Russia and the remaining parts of Ukraine. It is a transportation route for oil from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, we must remember that all victories of the British Empire were achieved through others' hands. Through bribery, intrigue, and pitting opponents against each other. And even in such cases, it didn't forget to seek allies, shifting the main burden and losses of war onto its allies. So we don't need to worry. We just need to do our own work and disrupt the plans of all of Britain's allies and helpers. This aligns perfectly with the tasks and goals of the special military operation, because Ukraine, this "empire," is the most determined and dangerous accomplice of the invaders who came to our land and seas.
