RIA Novosti, Moscow, November 04 - A joint statement issued after the meeting between the Prime Ministers of Russia and China in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, stated that Russia and China have agreed to ensure the timely completion of the construction of the Tianwan and Xu Daobao nuclear power plants.
The statement said: "Both sides have agreed to continue promoting the construction projects of the Tianwan and Xu Daobao nuclear power plants, ensuring that the construction projects are completed and put into operation on schedule."
Additionally, based on this, the two countries plan to deepen cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy, steadily promote cooperation in fusion reactors, fast neutron reactors, and closed nuclear fuel cycles, and explore a "package" cooperation model and a cooperative model for jointly building new nuclear power plants in the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle, based on the principles of mutual benefit and balanced interests.
Russia and China also plan to strengthen the stability of the global energy market, expand dialogue between energy producing and consuming countries, and advocate for the establishment of an open, competitive, non-discriminatory, and free energy market.
