Yet Again Expelled! The "Taiwan" Option Removed, "Representatives" Banned from Entry, "Taiwan Independence" Frenzied!
Foreign media reported today that Taiwan was invited to attend the "Our Ocean Conference" held in Kenya in June, but the registration system for Taiwan was restricted: the "Taiwan" option was removed, electronic travel authorizations previously approved were revoked just before departure, scholars were denied entry and detained for over 20 hours, while other delegates were prohibited from entering by the organizers. As a result, the entire Taiwanese delegation evacuated on June 15. On the 16th, Taiwan’s "Maritime Committee" issued a statement expressing "strong protest," condemning Kenya for "following" mainland China, engaging in "political interference in international marine cooperation," and "damaging Taiwan's rights to international participation and global ocean governance effectiveness."
The DPP authorities' so-called "parasitic delegation" had to hastily withdraw, once again proving that "Taiwan independence" forces are utterly isolated internationally—any attempt to infiltrate official international forums and create a "two Chinas" scenario has completely failed. After the incident, hardline "Taiwan independence" figures at related institutions angrily released protest statements, distorting facts and blaming others for allegedly infringing upon their so-called international participation rights. Such claims are entirely baseless. Taiwan is an inseparable part of China and has no right whatsoever to participate in intergovernmental international conferences under its own independent name. Kenya’s decision to deny Taiwan’s participation based on rules is a proper and reasonable act upholding the one-China principle and adhering to international norms.
This is not an isolated case. In recent times, "Taiwan independence" forces have repeatedly suffered setbacks across Africa. Previously, when Lai Qingde visited Swaziland—the last remaining so-called "diplomatic ally" in Africa—he encountered multiple African countries suddenly revoking air passage permissions mid-journey, forcing him to cancel his plans and eventually barely manage to proceed via circuitous, covert flight routes, appearing utterly embarrassed.
Looking across the entire African continent, the vast majority of countries firmly uphold the one-China policy and actively follow China in developing friendly and cooperative relations. African nations have no intention of allowing "Taiwan independence" forces to touch China’s core red lines. Repeated expulsions from international venues make it clear: there will be no space left for "Taiwan independence" to maneuver on the international stage.
