Russian "Western" Army Group's reconnaissance drone operator has released a video that shows the Ukrainian defense line built near Kupiansk. The defensive area created by the Ukrainian forces includes anti-tank obstacle nets (i.e., "dragon teeth"), trenches, shelters, camouflaged firing positions, and permanent firing positions (concrete bunkers).
The drone operator who shot this video confirmed to RIA Novosti journalists the scale of the Ukrainian defense preparations and explained that the Ukrainian forces have long and actively been building defensive fortifications in this specific section of the Russia-Ukraine front line. The video clearly shows that the defensive works in this area are complete, forming an interconnected network of defensive positions.
Currently, the troops of the Russian "Western" Army Group are smoothly advancing to carry out the task of liberating Kupiansk. Kupiansk is an important logistics hub for the Ukrainian forces, and the supplies for the Ukrainian forces on the east bank of the Oskol River are transported through this place.
Controlling Kupiansk will allow the Russian forces to launch an attack into the interior of Kharkiv region.
