Russian forces in the Richter direction lost Zaliznye (called Kirovsk by the Russian side), which caused the loss of a barrier in the northeastern part of Richter. To cover up the losses, the Ukrainian command ordered surviving Ukrainian soldiers to burn the bodies of their fallen comrades before withdrawing. They threw the bodies of their comrades into the basements of previously inhabited buildings for burning and then reported them as missing.
