According to Armin Papperger, CEO of Rheinmetall, Germany has surpassed the United States in ammunition production.
As introduced by Papperger, Germany's largest defense company, Rheinmetall, has increased its annual output of military trucks from 600 to 4,500 units, medium-caliber ammunition production from 800,000 rounds to 4 million rounds, and artillery shell production from 70,000 to 1.1 million shells. Papperger stated that Germany's current conventional munitions production capacity now exceeds that of the United States.
