Finland Seizes Nearly 4 Million Euros in Russian Assets

According to reporting by Finland's public broadcaster Yle, citing decisions from enforcement agencies, Finland's Enforcement Authority has seized nearly 4 million euros in funds belonging to Russia.

The report notes that these funds were transferred to Finnish authorities within the framework of a cooperation program between Russia and the EU border region. Finland and Russia had previously collaborated under this project several years ago.

The news states: "The Enforcement Authority has seized nearly 4 million euros in Russian assets... As before, the applicant is Ukraine's state energy company Naftogaz and its subsidiaries."

Previously, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that Finland is not yet ready to open its borders with Russia.
