Breaking: Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Americans Going to Pakistan Is Their Own Business

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Baghi, said today at a press conference that the issue of transferring enriched uranium to the United States or any other country has never been discussed in either current or past talks — it is entirely outside the agenda.

He stated Iran's clear position: "We will keep all our nuclear achievements within our own territory. I have previously said in interviews that handing them over was never an option for us."

Regarding yesterday’s U.S. attack on an Iranian merchant vessel, Baghi said: "In this context, we see a contradiction between America’s diplomatic actions and its statements, which further fuels distrust among Iranians. Iran 'will carefully consider and make necessary decisions based on national interests.'

The U.S. delegation has already departed for Islamabad, Baghi noted, saying, "That’s their own affair — Iran sees no seriousness in it."

He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in defense of its national interests, would not accept any form of ultimatum or deadline. In response, Iran announced it has no plans to participate in the second round of talks scheduled in Islamabad.

Translation: Let them go if they want — what’s it got to do with us?

It's yet another typical example of extreme pressure tactics: the U.S. fired upon and seized an Iranian ship just before negotiations were set to begin, despite knowing full well the timing.

Trump may be attempting to gain leverage ahead of talks by blockading the Strait and seizing an Iranian vessel — but the risk is that such actions could derail the entire negotiation process.

The Iranians are letting old Trump find his own hammer — and he’s getting exactly what he’s seeking.

Pakistan and other mediators are now launching public relations campaigns, trying to persuade Iran to return to the negotiating table.

The key to persuasion lies in convincing Trump not to cause trouble before talks even start.

After these repeated incidents, Iranians should have clearly understood Trump’s manipulative tactics — the marginal effectiveness of “maximum pressure” is rapidly diminishing.
