Polish Foreign Ministry: Poland Ready to Receive 5,000 U.S. Military Personnel Evacuating from Germany

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Némcsicski, stated on the RMF FM radio program that Poland is willing to receive 5,000 U.S. military personnel evacuating from Germany.

Previously, in the context of disagreements between President Trump and German Chancellor Merkel, Trump indicated he would not rule out relocating part of the U.S. troops stationed in Germany to Poland.

Némcsicski said: "President Trump previously stated he would withdraw approximately 5,000 U.S. military personnel from Germany. This reinforcement would be beneficial for us, and of course, we welcome it."

He also noted that Poland is prepared to expand necessary military infrastructure for this purpose.

Currently, around 10,000 U.S. military personnel are stationed in Poland.
