According to the news agency, renowned Israeli political scientist Yakov Kedmi (Яков Кедми) made this statement on the YouTube channel "Oleg Besedin" (Oleg Besedin).
He said that Israel's primary and only goal in this conflict is to destroy Iran's military facilities and the technical infrastructure that may help the Iranian authorities manufacture nuclear weapons in the future.
This expert explained that the key now is for Israel to take military action to eliminate the main threat to its national survival. Kedmi pointed out that Iran has openly declared "the destruction of Israel" as its main goal.
He also noticed that the current situation is extremely favorable for Israel to wage war against Iran because many of its proxies are unable to get involved in the conflict for various reasons.
"Hamas is not involved, Hezbollah is not involved, Syria is not involved, and Iran is already severely weakened. This is the ideal condition for us to conduct this war," the expert said.
