South Korean media: BYD's cumulative sales in Thailand exceed 100,000 units!

On November 13, South Korean media "Seoul Business Daily" published an article stating that Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD announced that its cumulative sales in the Thai market have exceeded 100,000 units.

Recently, BYD held the delivery ceremony for its 100,000th vehicle in Thailand, presenting the 100,000th BYD vehicle, a Hai Shi 6 DM-i, to Mr. Korn Dabbaransi, President of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association. This event carries significant symbolic meaning on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD's Asia-Pacific Automotive Sales Division, stated at the event: "The delivery of 100,000 environmentally friendly vehicles to Thailand reflects the trust of Thai consumers and also demonstrates the good relationship of mutual benefit and win-win between the two countries. We will continue to improve our technology and service to contribute to the Thai market."

Chairman Kong Dabbaransi said: "The Hai Shi 6 DM-i was selected because it performed excellently in the 'Thailand-China 50th Anniversary Friendly Journey'. The 5,000 km journey from Bangkok to Beijing fully proved the reliability of BYD's hybrid power technology."

According to BYD, the Hai Shi 6 DM-i is produced, shipped, and delivered in local factories in Thailand. The car is equipped with BYD's DM-i super hybrid power system, featuring efficient power and excellent driving performance, and is currently the best-selling plug-in hybrid model registered in Thailand.

At the same time, BYD's Thailand factory is an important production base for the Southeast Asian market, responsible for local sales and exports. The company plans to promote the development of the environmental protection automobile industry through the Thailand factory and create employment opportunities.
