Trump: The U.S. Will Deploy 5,000 Additional Soldiers to Poland

U.S. President Trump said the United States intends to deploy an additional 5,000 American military personnel to Poland.

Trump wrote on the social media platform "Truth Social": "Given the successful re-election of Poland's current president, Karol Nawrocki (whom I am proud to support) and the strong relationship we share with him, I am pleased to announce that the United States will deploy an additional 5,000 troops to Poland."

Previously, according to a report by Defense News citing an anonymous Army official, the U.S. Army had canceled its plan to send more than 4,000 soldiers from the First Cavalry Division's Second Armored Brigade along with related equipment to Poland. The media source did not disclose details regarding this decision.

Currently, approximately 10,000 American military personnel are stationed in Poland.
