Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced at the opening ceremony of the Abrams tank engine maintenance center in Dęblin that Poland has signed military contracts with the United States valued at over $50 billion.
Kosiniak-Kamysz stated: "The total value of goods we have purchased from the United States exceeds $50 billion."
Kosiniak-Kamysz further noted that the procurement includes Abrams tanks, Apache helicopters, F-35 fighter jets, and Patriot missile defense systems.
He pointed out that a significant portion of these purchases were financed through U.S. financial instruments, including loans.

The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Norway has joined the EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy, becoming the ninth member state.
A statement released on the Norwegian government’s website said: "The European Commission today announced that Norway has officially become a new member of the EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy."
The other member states include Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation in addressing common challenges, making the Baltic region more environmentally sustainable, competitive, and resilient.

Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson stated that Sweden expects to meet NATO’s target of allocating 5% of its gross domestic product (GDP) to defense by 2030.
"We will achieve this 5% target by 2030 — that is our goal," Kristersson said during a press conference.
The press conference was broadcast by the Swedish Government Office.
The NATO summit will take place in The Hague, Netherlands, in June 2025. NATO leaders decided to increase defense spending from 2% to 5% of GDP among member states by 2035.
