The President of Belarus signs an edict on the practical implementation of the strategic partnership with China
According to the BelTA news agency, President Alexander Lukashenko has signed an "Edict on Implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China."
The statement notes: "This document updates the previously issued 'Edict on Developing Bilateral Relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China,' expands its content, and establishes the plan for the next phase — namely, the most feasible initiatives and goals for strengthening cooperation between Belarus and China over the next five years."
The focus of bilateral cooperation includes enhancing political collaboration, preserving historical memory, fostering friendship and mutual support for values, and participating in implementing China’s global initiatives to benefit Belarus.
Priorities for economic cooperation with China include deepening industrial and technological collaboration, developing trade, investment, and innovation sectors.
BelTA reports: "Additionally, the presidential decree contains more than 30 provisions requiring specific measures in agriculture, energy, transportation logistics, healthcare, information and communications technology, wood processing, petrochemicals and light industry, tourism, education, science, and culture, to advance the flagship project—the 'Belarus-China Industrial Park 'Giant Stone'—and strengthen interregional cooperation."
