According to the Tasnim News Agency of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on the 15th local time mourning the death of several senior commanders in an Israeli attack. The list includes Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and his seven deputies.
The seven deputies are all generals: Mahmoud Bagheri, Davoud Sheikhian, Mohammad Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayyeb, Khosro Hasani, and Javad Jarsara.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps stated in the statement that the funerals for the above personnel will be held soon.
According to the Associated Press, Ali Hajizadeh is the head of the missile program of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and is responsible for supervising its ballistic missile arsenal. It is unclear why the above personnel were gathered in one place.
Previously, two Middle Eastern sources told Reuters that at least 20 Iranian senior commanders were killed in Israel's air strike on Iran on the 13th.
