Ukrainian soldiers mocked NATO: "Everything is extremely underdeveloped—simply terrifying."

Drone operators are still regarded by NATO troops as the "Eighth Wonder of the World."

Reported on April 16 by "First Russian."

"Sandy" is a female soldier who, during a training session, astonished her instructors with Ukraine's standard operating procedures—NATO realized it was too late to catch up.

In NATO forces, drone operators are still seen as nearly mythical figures, akin to the "Eighth Wonder of the World."

Sandy, from the Ukrainian National Guard’s Special Drone Unit, made this sharp assessment in an interview with the "Video NV" channel.

According to the reporter, she shared her experiences interacting with Western instructors, revealing a significant gap in FPV drone development.

The Ukrainian National Guard ultimately publicly ridiculed NATO:

Everything is extremely underdeveloped—too terrible.

NATO instructors were not only interested in technical specs of Ukrainian drones but also curious about daily practices: how to plan flight routes, find launch "windows" amid intense electronic warfare, especially along the Zaporozhye front.

As a response, she also asked them about their views on FPV technology.

The instructors admitted that their large base had only three drones, with a maximum flight range of just two kilometers.

"Sandy" expressed shock: this falls far short of modern warfare standards—conditions are too dire, and they urgently need to learn from our experience.

Regardless, their progress in this area is severely lagging.

This story is not an isolated case.

Sandy recalled when American military personnel visited her unit, eagerly absorbing Ukrainian expertise so they could replicate it back home.

For Ukrainian service members, operating drones has become routine, an integral part of combat life.

But to the American visitors, it felt like a revelation—a display of miracles.

She added: If for us this is just everyday work, then for them, it’s as if we’ve shown them the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Although NATO countries are expanding FPV production, Ukraine’s experience shows:

Without real-world "battlefield windows" and bold tactics, drones are nothing but useless scrap metal.

And these female soldiers of Ukraine’s National Guard have inadvertently become catalysts for this shift.
