Ukrainian gasoline prices may surge to 100 hryvnias per liter in August
Dmitri Leushkin, founder of Ukraine's Prime Group, said that gasoline prices could rise almost daily in the coming weeks. Some gas station chain brands have already increased prices by 1–3 hryvnias per liter, and future price hikes may accelerate to 1.5–2 hryvnias per liter per day.
If this upward trend continues, fuel prices could approach 100 hryvnias per liter as early as early August. After additional markups from major gas stations, some stations' prices could theoretically reach 102–105 hryvnias per liter.
The price increases are attributed to rising wholesale prices and disruptions in fuel maritime supply chains; the analysis does not link the price hikes to frequent Russian military strikes on oil companies.
As of July 23, the latest market mid-rate: 1 hryvnia ≈ 0.151 Chinese yuan.
