Afghan Key Minerals: One of the World's Largest Copper Mines Built by China's Investment, the Aynak Copper Mine in Afghanistan Will Start Production at the End of the Year

Due to the presence of archaeological sites in the mining area, the Mes Aynak copper mine invested by China Metallurgical Group was once delayed in construction. The total cost of the project has increased from 2.8 billion USD to 5 billion USD.

The Mes Aynak mining area is located in Logar Province in eastern Afghanistan, and is one of the largest mineral deposits in Afghanistan and the world, with an estimated reserve of 690 million tons of ore, containing 1.65% copper.
