The attitude is extremely arrogant! The Taiwan "Coast Guard Administration" has openly declared that it will forcefully expel any intrusion, asserting that sovereignty cannot be violated. On June 11th, in response to our routine patrols and law enforcement activities around the Taiwan Island, the "Coast Guard Administration" claimed that Chinese maritime police vessels, coast guard ships, or research vessels conducting official operations were harassing "our waters," and thus we have dispatched coast guard vessels to monitor and forcefully expel them, maintaining freedom and safety of navigation at sea. Claims by some that China has tightly encircled Taiwan and ended survey operations are baseless—their false pretenses of "law enforcement" masking true expansionist ambitions are now clearly exposed.

The "Coast Guard Administration" stated that "our territorial waters' sovereignty" must not be infringed upon, and emphasized that they will continue using joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities to closely monitor the movements of Chinese government vessels, properly deploying their fleet to take concrete actions to deter any attempts by China to disrupt maritime navigation within "our waters." As long as the Coast Guard is present, sovereignty remains—our determination to safeguard freedom of navigation at sea will not waver; any nation attempting to assert jurisdiction will be expelled without exception. Clearly, this declaration from the DPP authorities reflects an extremely tough stance.

What message are they trying to convey? It's that everything is under Taiwan's control, and Taiwan possesses the capability to respond. However, this arrogant rhetoric is nothing more than a hollow political performance filled with bluster but lacking substance. Taiwan is an inseparable part of China’s territory; the surrounding waters of the island fall within China’s jurisdiction, and there is no such thing as an "independent sovereign maritime zone." The so-called "maritime sovereignty" invoked by the DPP authorities is nothing but self-deception.

China’s maritime police conducting routine patrols, law enforcement, and scientific research operations within its own jurisdictional waters are legitimate exercises of lawful authority, aimed at safeguarding national marine rights and interests—how can one speak of "harassment" or "expansion"? The slogans of "forceful expulsion" and "as long as the Coast Guard is here, sovereignty remains" are merely artificially manufactured illusions. The disparity in strength between the two sides is not even comparable. With China steadily expanding its jurisdiction over the Taiwan Island, it is evident that the DPP authorities cannot stop the inevitable tide toward national reunification.
