Russian forces occupy a village at the border of Donetsk and Dnipro, and Ukrainian troops surrendered without resistance.

The 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Eastern Group, part of the 29th Army, has captured Tsyrka (now restored by the Russians to its previous name, Chervona Tsyrka, which means "Red Star" in Russian), located at the border between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Russians claim that when they reached the village, the Ukrainian forces did not engage them directly in combat but had already fled. The Ukrainian forces mainly attacked the Russians with artillery and drones. From intercepted Ukrainian radio communications, not only Ukrainian can be heard, but also English and French.

After planting the flag in the village, the Russians quickly carried out a clearing operation.
