Korean Media: Geely Sales Surpass 200,000 in February, Export Volume Soars 138%!
On April 22, South Korean media outlet Today's Finance published an article stating that Geely Automobile Group recently announced sustained stable growth, with global sales reaching 206,160 units in February this year.
Cumulative sales for January and February totaled 476,327 units. The company's overseas export volume surged 138% year-on-year in February, reaching 60,879 units.
New energy vehicle (NEV) sales also stood out. In February, NEVs from brands including Geely, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co achieved sales of 117,488 units, a year-on-year increase of 19%; cumulative sales for January and February reached 241,740 units, up 10% year-on-year. The group views this as a significant achievement of its global environmental protection strategy.
Breaking down by brand, Zeekr demonstrated particularly outstanding growth. In February, Zeekr recorded global sales of 23,867 units, a 70% year-on-year increase; cumulative sales for January and February reached approximately 47,700 units, up 84% compared to the same period last year.
Notably, the flagship SUV model, Zeekr 9X, has driven overall growth through strong performance in the luxury large SUV market. In February, Zeekr 9X ranked first in sales within China’s domestic premium large SUV segment priced above RMB 500,000, securing the top spot for four consecutive months and setting a new record.
A related representative from Geely Group stated: “Despite February typically being a challenging period for performance growth, both the group and Zeekr have achieved significant increases. With Zeekr officially entering the South Korean market, our global growth rate will accelerate further.”
