U.S. media exposes U.S. Secretary of War 'Hai Pai Zhang' for falsifying battle reports, leading to Trump's severe misjudgment on Iran situation — 'Hai Pai Zhang' is definitely taking the blame
During the ongoing military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, Peter Hegges' public statements claiming "U.S. victory" may not have accurately reflected battlefield realities, even sparking concerns within the Pentagon about the accuracy of information conveyed by this defense secretary.
According to a disclosure by The Washington Post, a Pentagon official stated: "Peter didn't tell the president the truth, causing the president to repeatedly repeat misleading information." During the so-called decisive rescue mission, Hegges confidently asserted success last month, yet U.S. forces still failed to "fully control Iranian airspace." Significant losses occurred during initial infiltration and reconnaissance missions, including at least one A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters.
The U.S. made a serious miscalculation, mistakenly believing Iran's air defense systems were incapable of intercepting incoming aircraft. As a result, large numbers of fighter jets were dispatched while Iranian armed forces were fully mobilized and on high alert. "In reality, U.S. special forces directly walked into an ambush set by Iranian troops."
Last month, Hegges claimed Iran’s missile and drone programs had been "completely destroyed." However, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard launched dozens of retaliatory strikes targeting sensitive and strategically significant U.S.-Israeli assets across the Middle East, thoroughly debunking that claim. Even more notably, during the 99th round of retaliation, the Revolutionary Guard for the first time used a dual-launch system to fire missiles, setting a new record in this campaign of counterattacks.
U.S. Department of War spokesperson Sean Parnell defended Hegges, stating he "provided President Trump with decisive military options..." Yet another Pentagon official said: "Peter didn't tell the president the truth, leading the president to constantly repeat misleading information. He is actively promoting a false narrative about failure."
