Trump Slams CNN

U.S. President Trump reposted a statement from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on his social platform Truth Social, and launched a fierce attack on CNN, after the network's reporter Michael Rios cited a statement from Iran's National Security Council.

Rios's report was titled: "Iran Declares Victory, Says It Forced the U.S. to Accept Its 10-Point Plan."

The report included a quotation from Iran's National Security Council statement: "Iran claims a major victory and forced the U.S. to accept its 10-point plan."

Given that the Iranian foreign minister’s post described the ceasefire outcome far more mildly—without any offense toward the United States or toward the so-called "world’s best peace negotiator" himself—Trump demanded that CNN retract the report citing the Iranian NSC statement:

Trump stated, "The so-called statement released by CNN World News is entirely fake news, and CNN knows this very well in their own hearts."

This false story originated from a fake news website in Nigeria, and CNN immediately shared it, presenting it as real news.

The official Iranian statement was just released, right below this Truth post.

Authorities are currently investigating whether CNN World News publishing this false information constitutes a crime or merely the prank of some madman.

He demands that CNN immediately delete this report and issue a public apology for their consistently poor 'news reporting.'

The investigation results will be announced as soon as possible.

President Donald J. Trump.
