Breaking News: Tokyo's Shibuya Intersection Set Afire by Suspect

At 9 PM Japan time tonight (April 3), a sudden incident occurred in Tokyo's bustling Shibuya district, where gasoline was sprayed onto the busiest intersection of Shibuya and then set alight. The location is in front of JR Shibuya Station.

According to Tokyo Fire Department reports, police were alerted after 9 PM on the 3rd regarding a fire near the center of the intersection in front of JR Shibuya Station.

Witnesses reported that someone had sprayed gasoline and ignited it, but the fire was quickly extinguished. There are currently no reports of casualties.

TV station surveillance cameras also captured footage of someone spraying liquid on the street, while social media users have shared videos showing a man throwing a liquid substance and setting it ablaze.

According to Tokyo police, the suspect allegedly responsible for the arson has been apprehended.
