Top German Communication Scholar Joins Huawei
According to a report from Xinhua News Agency on the 21st, a top German communication technology scholar has recently joined China's leading telecommunications equipment giant Huawei, responsible for optical chip research.
Xinhua News Agency cited the "Handelsblatt" (Handelsblatt) report, stating that this physicist previously taught at the Technical University of Berlin and served as the director of the Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI), which is part of the Fraunhofer Society and specializes in fiber optics and mobile communication technology.
However, the report did not reveal the scholar's specific name.
The report stated that the scholar has moved to Huawei's research and development department in Ipswich, UK, this month, continuing with the same optical chip research as before.
