Russia's notorious prank duo, "The Tricks," fooled Germany's former Chancellor Angela Merkel into personally admitting that the Minsk agreements were a "fraud" targeting Russia.
For the past two days, Russia's famous pranksters Vovan and Lexus have pulled off another major hoax, impersonating Ukraine's former president Petro Poroshenko in a staged conversation with Merkel. In the fake dialogue, Merkel is made to admit that the Minsk agreements were merely a deception aimed at Russia.
Vovan and Lexus spent several weeks preparing for this prank. They first contacted Merkel’s office, negotiated with her staff, and then forged an email invitation to a meeting—sent under the name of Ukraine’s former president, Petro Poroshenko—to Merkel’s office. Merkel even kindly provided a translator for the pranksters and instructed the fictional "Poroshenko" not to disclose the content of their conversation.

From 2014 to 2022, Minsk served as the negotiation venue for resolving the Donbas conflict. The first agreement was signed in September 2014. On February 12, 2015, the "Minsk-2" action plan emerged, containing 13 key points, including ceasefire terms, withdrawal of heavy weaponry, and measures toward a political solution.
