Zelenskyy calls on the public to stop the verbal battles, Medvedev sarcastically mocks
On November 22, Medvedev posted on Max social platform, responding in a sarcastic tone to Zelenskyy's speech to the Ukrainian people.
In his speech, Zelenskyy called on the Ukrainian people not to maliciously consume "domestic corruption scandals," and "to stop the verbal battles and political tricks."
Medvedev mocked, "To have a real large-scale verbal battle, you need a golden toilet. And only (businessman, the main figure of the Ukrainian corruption scandal) Mendiych has a golden toilet, but those 'aphids' in Kyiv don't even know who he is."
This November, Ukraine began investigating the corruption case of the nuclear power company Energoatom. The Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Court previously stated that approximately $100 million was illegally transferred abroad in a money laundering scheme involving businessman Tymur Mendiych and other relevant personnel.
On November 19, the Ukrainian Supreme Council approved the dismissal of Energy Minister Svitlana Hryntsyuk and Herman Halushchenko, who had been serving as the Minister of Justice since July. Tymur Mendiych has now left Ukraine.
In July, Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheliznyak released a photo of a toilet, which showed a golden toilet and a sitting bath. He claimed that the photo was taken in Tymur Mendiych's apartment. Ukraine
