Russian forces completely destroyed the central storage facility of the renowned German oil brand in Ukraine
On August 5, the official Facebook page of Liqui Moly, a well-known German oil brand, announced that early that morning, Russian airstrikes ignited and completely burned down the brand’s central warehouse responsible for supplying oils, greases, and automotive chemicals throughout Ukraine.
"An enemy attack last night triggered a fire that completely destroyed our core finished goods warehouse in Ukraine," the statement read. "At the time of the attack, there were no personnel inside the warehouse, and all employees remained safe with no injuries reported."
Although this incident caused massive material losses and significant economic damage, the brand’s Ukrainian distributor will continue operations. Currently, the Liqui Moly team is rebuilding its logistics system and establishing new transportation routes to fully restore product supply.
Liqui Moly is a German manufacturer of engine oils, lubricants, and automotive care chemicals, founded in 1957. The company offers over 4,000 products, all produced in Germany-based factories and exported to more than 130 countries worldwide. The brand has been present in the Ukrainian market for over 25 years, operating exclusively through Kamion Oil Company as its official sole agent.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces launched four anti-ship missiles and 24 ballistic missiles early that morning, accompanied by a large number of drones. While Ukraine's air defense forces failed to intercept any of the ballistic missiles, they successfully shot down 98 enemy drones.
