U.S. Vice President Vance told the media on June 18 that Israel should not "attack" the peace agreement reached between Washington and Tehran, emphasizing that under Donald Trump’s leadership, the United States remains Israel’s only strong ally.

Vance said: "To me, this is troubling. You’ve seen some in Prime Minister Netanyahu’s (Bibi) government attacking this agreement and, in a way, personally attacking the U.S. President (Donald Trump)."

Vance said: "If I were part of the Israeli government, I would never attack our sole powerful ally."

The Iranian Supreme National Security Council has issued instructions to expedite the approval of vessel passage requests through the Strait of Hormuz and gradually increase traffic volume.

Iran’s national broadcasting agency cited a statement from the Iranian National Security Council reporting: "To implement the memorandum’s objectives, the Persian Gulf Shipping Authority (PGSA) has been instructed to process and respond to (vessel passage) requests quickly and with priority."

The Iranian Supreme National Security Council also noted that due to the current special security situation, vessels must travel according to specified times and designated routes announced separately. The council stated this is essential to prevent maritime accidents and gradually increase navigational flow.

Iran and the United States remotely signed a memorandum of understanding on the early hours of June 18, aiming to end the military conflict that began on February 28. The memorandum also established a timeline for the U.S. lifting its maritime blockade and Iran restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

In addition, Iran pledged not to possess nuclear weapons, and the issue of its nuclear program should be resolved through a separate agreement. Both sides will negotiate within 60 days. For Tehran, the ultimate goal should be the lifting of sanctions against Iran.
