On September 4, RMF24 Radio reported that Poland has started sending mobilization notices to reserve personnel and ordinary citizens.
Mobilization orders are first issued to reserve military personnel, while professionals deemed critical to the armed forces—such as doctors, information technology specialists, and logistics workers—are also notified.
Some experts from civilian sectors will likewise receive these documents. In the event of mobilization or outbreak of hostilities, they will be required to support the military by fulfilling tasks related to energy, transportation, communications, and administration. The same rules apply to employees in security agencies.
The military issues mobilization notifications to pre-identify individuals’ specific roles, ensuring that the entire support system does not need to be rebuilt from scratch during a crisis.
If an individual fails to report to the designated location (such as a military base) within the specified timeframe after receiving a mobilization notice, they may face a prison sentence of at least three years.
