Kazakh International News Agency report — According to the Presidential Administration (Akorda) Press Office, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended birthday congratulations to Kazakhstan’s first president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, wishing him good health, long life, and happiness and well-being.
In his message, Tokayev highly praised Nazarbayev's historic contributions in laying the foundation for modern Kazakhstan, establishing the Republic of Kazakhstan, strengthening the nation’s economic power, and enhancing Kazakhstan’s international status and influence.
The president also specifically highlighted the significant historical importance of the decision to relocate the capital to Astana.
"The relocation of the capital to the steppe of Saryarka has injected new strong momentum into the comprehensive development of Kazakhstan. Today, Astana is rapidly developing and has become one of the most beautiful cities in the world," Tokayev stated in his message.
Previously, the Presidential Administration (Akorda) Press Office had also released a congratulatory speech delivered by President Tokayev for Astana Day.
