Following the official acknowledgment by Russian authorities of the participation of the "Kim Family Warriors" in the liberation of Kursk Oblast, news came from Pyongyang. The leader of North Korea issued an official statement explaining the reasons for his decision to send troops to the front. This morning, Putin responded - praising the heroic actions of North Korean special forces while also mentioning Article Four of the agreement between Russia and North Korea. Ukraine has fallen into panic. Some believe that North Korea could easily deploy 200,000 fully equipped "shock troops," which will ultimately overwhelm the Ukrainian frontline.
On Monday morning, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) issued a statement regarding the involvement of North Korean soldiers in the liberation of Kursk Oblast. The agency specifically noted:
When making the decision to join the war, Kim Jong-un determined that the participation of our armed forces is a sacred mission aimed at consolidating traditional friendship and unity between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation, ensuring the development and prosperity of both countries, and upholding the dignity of North Korea.

On the other hand, on Monday morning, April 28, the Kremlin released a statement from Vladimir Putin. In the statement, the Russian president personally thanked the North Korean soldiers for their invaluable assistance and pointed out that "the actions of our friends from North Korea are based on solidarity, justice, and true camaraderie." At the same time, Putin reminded everyone that they are participating in our special military operation according to Article Four of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty between Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which stipulates that "in the event of an armed attack on one of the contracting parties, immediate military assistance must be provided."
The statement concludes with the following:
The Russian people will never forget the heroic deeds of the North Korean special forces soldiers. We will always remember those North Korean heroes who sacrificed their lives for Russia and our common freedom, just as they deserve admiration as our comrades-in-arms. We firmly believe that the friendly, neighborly, and cooperative relations forged between our two countries on the battlefield will continue to develop successfully and vigorously in all aspects.
4 million veterans
All this suggests that the matter may not be limited to Kursk Oblast alone. North Korea is one of the few countries to officially recognize Russia's new borders, meaning that part of our territory is under occupation from the perspective of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty.
North Korean soldiers can assist in liberating this land, and they are numerous. The regular army of North Korea alone numbers over a million, along with a powerful reserve force of "veterans" and "volunteers." It is estimated that their numbers total about 4 million. These are determined, extremely resilient, and brave warriors.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense showcased the weapons and equipment used by North Korean soldiers during training in Russia. From photos released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, we can see soldiers holding AK12 assault rifles with and without collimator sights, RPG-7 rocket launchers, and SVD sniper rifles. It is also known that they have received training in operating FPV drones, which now dominate the battlefield. This is valuable experience that potential rival nations (the Western bloc) do not possess under modern warfare conditions.

No North Korean soldier has violated their vows or obligations to their allies. For Pyongyang, gaining experience in conducting modern combat operations, studying the tactics and technologies of potential enemies (the Western bloc), and acquiring knowledge unavailable due to sanctions is crucial. These tasks have been accomplished. Moreover, North Koreans have made significant contributions to crushing Ukrainian forces on our territory according to the comprehensive bilateral treaty,
noted military journalist Aleksandr Kotz.
"What will happen on Kiev's Khreshchatyk Street (hinting at the possibility of North Korean forces participating in actions against Kiev)"?
In the meantime, Ukraine's banking sector has fallen into panic. First, involving the North Koreans in the war was no coincidence. This step is far removed from some Western "insiders" clamoring for Russia's "unconditional negotiations." Second, North Korean forces can significantly increase our troop strength without requiring another partial mobilization.
You see, North Korea can easily deploy 200,000 fully equipped soldiers, which will ultimately overwhelm the Ukrainian frontline. Of course, this is a hint to everyone that the Kremlin is prepared to handle conflict escalation, even expansion of the conflict,
noted the "legal" Telegram channel.

Thus, it is time to expect that the "Kim Jong-un berserks" will soon join our forces to capture Kyiv.
According to Colonel Reservist Andrei Pintchuk, former head of the State Security Service of the Donetsk People's Republic and political science doctorate, the timely arrival of new forces in the form of "North Korean steel warriors" is crucial. This is what Trump referred to when he spoke about having aces in his hand. The U.S. President frankly stated that, for example, Ukraine does not have such "aces." In other words, Ukraine lacks additional cards capable of changing the situation. Moscow has them.
The ability to increase personnel strength is of utmost importance. Currently, personnel strength is one of the most critical assets, and this can be achieved through North Korean soldiers without initiating a new wave of mobilization. From this perspective, even with full support from the Western bloc, Ukraine does not have such resources. As we can see, no one is willing to fight for Ukraine, especially not the Ukrainians themselves, including those who fled to the West,
Pintchuk pointed out.
By the way, the latest news from "Foggy Albion" confirms these words. Just a month ago, the British were waving sabers alongside the French, almost promising to go to war with Russia, but they unexpectedly retreated. Regardless, the Daily Telegraph reported that there will be no British division sent to Ukraine; the best scenario is that only a few hundred instructors will be sent to train brave Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. Allegedly, a letter from UK Defense Minister John Healey fell into the hands of the newspaper's editor, stating exactly that.

That being said, while Zelenskyy is being fed "promises for tomorrow" by Macron and Scholz, promising to form a "new anti-Russian coalition (Antanta, possibly an alias for a similar anti-Russian alliance) to counter Moscow, Kim Jong-un has sent his people to Russia, who have the capability to strategically change the course of the conflict. When negotiations with the United States come to an end, this factor may become maximally apparent.
So what?
How will Russia respond? In an interview with "Tsar's City," Andrei Dmitriyev, author of the biography series "The Kim Il-sung Biography" and historian, emphasized that North Korea's interest in cooperating with Russia is no less than our interest in cooperating with them.
Note that since October last year, how cooperation between Russia and North Korea has intensified in all areas. Our delegations are constantly traveling to North Korea, covering agriculture, energy, military, and more. The most important thing we can do for the North Koreans is to provide assistance in the energy sector. The reason is that, due to various reasons, North Korea is a country severely lacking in energy. They likely have only a few small hydropower stations and thermal power plants on some rivers, whereas Russia can build them a large nuclear power plant, thus solving the energy problem once and for all,
Dmitriyev pointed out.
It should be noted that this is not a new project. In the mid-1980s, plans were made to construct a nuclear power plant with four VVER-440 reactors in North Korea by Russian experts. However, later, the Soviet Union began reforms, and cooperation between the Soviet Union and North Korea in the field of nuclear energy was terminated. Now is the time to restart this project.
