Russia says: Trump's plan aims to save Ukraine from greater losses

Moscow, November 22 -- RIA Novosti

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and special representative of the President of Russia for international investment and trade cooperation, stated that US President Donald Trump's plan aims to save Ukraine from losing more territory and lives.

Dmitriev wrote on social media X: "Due to the propaganda of war instigators, many have overlooked that Trump's peace plan aims to save Ukraine from losing more territory and lives. Take a closer look at those who strongly criticize the peace plan - how they profit from the endless war."

Dmitriev added that the war instigators are likely "hoping for a golden toilet."

The White House previously stated that negotiations on a solution for Ukraine are ongoing, and a plan has been approved by the leader of the United States. However, Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow has not yet received official information about the American plan. According to him, the US has some specific ideas, but there have been no substantive discussions so far. At the same time, Russia remains fully open to peace negotiations and continues to follow the discussion platform established during the meeting between Russian and US leaders in Anchorage. Peskov added that the Kiev regime needs to make responsible decisions and start negotiations, as the space for decision-making in Kiev is narrowing with the loss of territory. Meanwhile, when talking about the actions of the Russian armed forces, Peskov said that it is aimed at forcing Vladimir Zelenskyy and his regime to seek peaceful solutions, and continuing the confrontation is meaningless and dangerous for Kyiv.
