Trump: Zelenskyy Must Accept the US Peace Plan

US President Donald Trump said that the Ukrainian authorities will have no choice but to agree to the conditions of a peace plan containing 28 points. He added that otherwise Kyiv will be forced to fight alone.

"We believe we have found a way to achieve peace. He (Vladimir Zelenskyy) will have to approve it. At some point, he must approve certain things... I think Ukraine should speed up its decision on the peace plan, and this winter will be very cold," Donald Trump told journalists.

Trump also said he believes the peace between Russia and Ukraine "is approaching." He also clarified that he is "in contact with relevant parties" regarding the solution, but did not specify who he was speaking with.

On November 21, Axios published "Trump's Plan to Resolve the Ukraine-Russia Conflict." The media's sources confirmed that the 28-point content listed had been submitted to Moscow and Kyiv for discussion. Russian President Vladimir Putin had said that the Kremlin had received the text of the peace plan, and that it could serve as the basis for a solution.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy had said he had discussed the plan with U.S. officials as well as leaders of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. In a speech to the nation, he claimed that next week he would fully commit to reaching an agreement with the United States and Russia. Afterward, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz discussed the 28-point peace plan with Donald Trump. He promised to inform other European leaders about the content of the conversation.
