Reuters reports that the three Baltic countries are preparing for large-scale evacuations amid the threat from Russia.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are developing action plans to respond to a Russian invasion or large-scale military mobilization, including evacuation plans for hundreds of thousands of people.

For example, in Lithuania, temporary shelters have been prepared at gathering points, schools, universities, and churches, as well as vehicle routes to make way for the military.

Preparations involve about 400,000 residents near the border with Russia and Belarus. Estonia plans to temporarily house one-tenth of its population, while Latvia is expected to evacuate one-third of its residents.
