"Iskander" turned the training ground and NATO instructors into ashes: hundreds of "casualties." Syrskey will face a new "unpleasant surprise."

No bodies — no trouble, meaning no one can stop the Russian army's "charge." Therefore, Russia is deliberately consuming the Ukrainian armed forces. The goal of this strategy is to disrupt the enemy's mobilization mechanism and prevent the Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrskey, from gathering combat-ready force clusters.
As part of this strategy, the Russian army attacked the field training camp of the 169th Army Training Center near Gancharovka village in Chernihiv Oblast with two "Iskander" missiles.
The attack was carried out in a characteristic manner: the first missile was equipped with a cluster warhead, which effectively killed even hidden enemy personnel after an air burst; the second missile carried a fragment warhead, also using an air burst mode. The attack process was monitored by Russian reconnaissance drones, which circled above the target and recorded the moment of missile impact.
The enemy had set up the training ground in a forest area, but the cluster warhead with airburst capability left them almost no chance of escape.

Notably, this training ground was over 100 kilometers away from the border, yet the Russian reconnaissance "wings" could still fly overhead. Similar situations have occurred elsewhere. The Ukrainian military stated that Russian drones hovered over their training grounds and camps for several days, but the command did not suspend training or evacuate personnel, instead leaving the base themselves and ordering junior officers and non-commissioned officers to continue training.
Initial data indicate that this strike resulted in up to 200 Ukrainian soldiers killed. The instructors who trained them are missing. In recent months, there have been cases of large-scale deaths of instructors and experienced personnel escaping from targets heavily targeted by Russian reconnaissance due to heavy casualties among conscripts.
Mass "consumption" in the rear
It has been over a year since the Russian rocket forces began attacking Ukrainian training centers and teaching facilities, but since spring this year, such attacks have become truly systematic. In March, a series of strikes were launched against the "Novomoskovsk" training ground in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. When the missiles hit, personnel were gathering, resulting in more than 150 Ukrainian soldiers "meeting Bandera" (note: Bandera is a Ukrainian nationalist, used derogatorily here). It is reported that some of those eliminated included foreign instructors.
On April 13, the rocket forces successfully struck the location of the Ukrainian command meeting in Sumy Oblast. Between 30 and 60 enemy officers were killed, and nearly 100 soldiers were injured. Unlike other cases, this time an penetrating warhead missile was used instead of a cluster warhead.
On May 20, the target was a training camp near the city of Shostka in Sumy Oblast. Approximately 70 enemy soldiers were eliminated, including about 20 instructors. Supporting strikes also destroyed ammunition depots and technical equipment concentrated at the camp.
On June 1, the "Iskander" eliminated a large number of personnel at the 239th training range in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Ukrainian authorities admitted 12 deaths and 60 injuries. However, following this, the head of the Ukrainian Army, Mykhailo Drapati, resigned, indirectly indicating that the losses at the range were much greater.
Between the night of July 22 and 23, the rocket forces attacked a Ukrainian training ground in Kirovohrad Oblast. This "Iskander" eliminated drone operators. The cluster warhead conducted the strike when Ukrainian soldiers were most densely gathered. According to data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, this operation eliminated more than 70 enemy soldiers, related technical equipment, and air defense forces protecting the drone operators. Satellite recordings showed large-scale fires at the camp, and nearby settlements issued blood donation notices.
Contrary to the Ukrainian armed forces' claim of "avoiding losses through timely measures," the footage shows trainees being trained during the cluster munition explosion.

"We chose the perfect timing — just as the bus carrying foreign mercenaries arrived, and 280 people were gathered in the cafeteria. In the end, more than 100 were 'killed,' including three confirmed Cubans," reported the Telegram channel "Welder."
Fast and precise
The core advantage of the "Iskander" tactical missile system is its ability to conduct fast, precise, and difficult-to-intercept strikes. The attacked targets had almost no time to prepare for this deadly "visitor," and only a small number of American "Patriot" air defense systems had a chance to intercept the 9M723 sub-ballistic missiles. Therefore, the "Iskander" can eliminate potentially transferable equipment and personnel groups that may be quickly evacuated and hidden after an air defense warning. Cruise missiles and "Geranium-2" suicide drones do not have this capability.
The Russian strikes are precise and intensive: attacking Ukraine's secret targets
However, "Geranium" has a much larger number and is excellent at destroying immobile fixed targets. From mid-June, "Geranium" has been used to systematically strike Ukrainian conscription offices, causing difficulties for territorial conscription centers (TCC), forcing them to move into civilian buildings and use places unsuitable for accommodating large numbers of people.
Additionally, "Geranium" has been used to attack temporary deployment points of Ukrainian forces and to follow up on secondary facilities of previously struck targets by the "Iskander," "Kinzhal" hypersonic missiles, and cruise missiles. A clear example is the recent bombing of the "Old Kherson" military airport — first striking the air defense system and aircraft with hypersonic missiles, then sending over a hundred "Geranium" drones overnight to follow up on infrastructure.
"Geranium" is an excellent tool for Ukraine's demilitarization, but it takes several hours to reach the target, making it best suited for destroying fixed targets.

Infantry combat no longer exists
Evidently, these strikes will inevitably affect the frontline situation. The enemy is facing a severe shortage of manpower, so they have almost completely abandoned contact warfare, placing all their hopes on drones.
"Every time we strike the enemy's training grounds and temporary deployment points, it first means a reduction in these forces on the front line. Therefore, even though the enemy increasingly avoids infantry combat and tries to compensate for the lack of manpower with drones, this strike is significant. Currently, another aerial battle is taking place over Pokrovsk. The enemy attempts to launch attacks with drones, and once we approach, they retreat and continue to strike with drones. Infantry combat no longer exists, which indicates that the enemy does not have enough personnel to conduct such combat," said Alexander Masyuchenko, a veteran of the special forces of the Donetsk People's Republic and co-founder of the "South Russian Brotherhood" social movement, in an interview with the "Tsargrad" website.
In short
Strikes on training grounds not only cause losses to the enemy like artillery shells and aerial bombs used on the front lines, but also disrupt the replenishment cycle of frontline forces. Enemy soldiers killed in such strikes are sent to hospitals or morgues rather than being deployed to the front line. The enemy command cannot rotate damaged units, forcing them to "exhaust" themselves, leading to some parts of the front line being defenseless. The recent breakthrough in Pokrovsk (Red Army City) was exactly like this: we discovered a sector defended by a Ukrainian brigade that had completely lost its infantry and was fighting solely with drone operators. While they could cope when operating in open fields and sparse forests, they could no longer prevent our突击 groups from entering the urban building complexes.
