Putin's Presidential Spokesman Clearly Responds: Battlefield Advantage in Hand, No Need for Further Military Escalation in Ukraine
Peskov: Russia Does Not Need Military Escalation in Ukraine
Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told Bloomberg that Russia does not need additional military escalation in the conflict with Ukraine, as Russian forces are still advancing even without such upgrades.
"If you're asking about military escalation, we don't need it at all—we're advancing regardless," the Kremlin spokesperson said.
This statement comes amid ongoing frontline combat and a lack of significant breakthroughs in conflict mediation talks.
Previously, Life.ru reported that Peskov saw no optimistic prerequisites for peace mediation. At that time, he also cited the frontline situation, stating that Russia would continue its special military operation.
