Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denies "Idiots and Roads" Slogan: It's Unpatriotic Rhetoric

Recently, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin stated that he finds the claim "Russia's two greatest evils—idiots and roads"—completely baseless.

In an interview with TASS, he emphasized: "I believe this statement is incorrect and unfair. I do not agree with the idea that Russians are unintelligent. Whether in terms of the number of educated people or intellectual level, we rank among the world leaders."

Husnullin further added that he considers this phrase to be "an unpatriotic slogan."

Previously, the deputy prime minister pointed out that as of early 2026, Russia remains a country undercapitalized.
