The White House M&A experts participated in the meeting with Dmitriev

Sputnik News reported that Josh Grunbaum, a U.S. federal procurement official with extensive experience in M&A transactions, participated in a meeting with Kirill Dmitriev, President of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Special Representative for Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation of the President, in Miami.

Previously, U.S. President's special envoy Steve Witkoff revealed that Grunbaum (whom he referred to as a White House employee) participated in the meeting with Dmitriev.

Grunbaum had previously participated in discussions on the Ukraine issue and participated in U.S.-Kyiv consultations. However, there have been no previous reports of him participating in talks with Moscow as a representative of Washington.

Josh Grunbaum was appointed as the U.S. Federal Procurement Officer and Senior Advisor to the White House in January 2025 after Donald Trump's government took office.

During his tenure in the U.S. government, he was praised as a person with deep financial expertise and broad business skills, especially skilled in complex restructurings, M&A transactions, corporate transformations, and investments.

Grunbaum holds a law degree from New York University.
