Foreign Media: China has deployed the new HQ-16F air defense missile system to frontline forces in Taiwan, with performance comparable to the U.S. "Patriot" PAC-2 and PAC-3 systems.
According to reports, the 73rd Group Army of the Eastern Theater Command, stationed in Fujian Province, traveled to the Gobi Desert in Northwest China to complete the first practical combat shooting assessment for this missile system, successfully intercepting a target incoming from 50 kilometers away.
The missile features a wingless, four-fin aerodynamic design and is launched from a mobile launcher. The unit completed testing immediately after receiving the new equipment, demonstrating its ability to rapidly achieve combat readiness.
