Vietjet Air of Vietnam will use COMAC aircraft to operate domestic routes

Reuters quoted a company statement on April 5, saying that Vietjet Air of Vietnam would operate the first Made-in-China COMAC short-haul regional aircraft C909 on domestic routes in mid-April.

According to the document, Vietjet Air plans to operate four flights between the capital Hanoi and the southern Con Dao Islands on April 15.

The document shows that the company will also operate four flights between Ho Chi Minh City and the Con Dao Islands on the same day.

The COMAC C909 is a medium-short-range turbofan regional civilian aircraft developed by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), with a seating capacity of 78-97 seats and a range of 2,225-3,700 kilometers. It is an aircraft independently developed by China according to international standards.
