The report by Russian frontline journalist Lisytsin states that on the morning of August 5, Russian assault units liberated most of Portavka and Rusynia.

In the eastern wing in the direction of Pokrovsk (Red Army Village) - Myrnohrad, after driving Ukrainian forces out of the forest belt surrounding Feodorovka, the Russians destroyed this part of the Ukrainian defense forces in motion.

This move allowed Russian assault units to advance towards the Hryshynivka mine and enter its area, capturing the Hryshynivka mine.

However, up to now, the Russian forces have not yet been able to consolidate on the new front line - the Ukrainian forces have dispatched two mechanized brigades as reserves to this area to prevent the Russian armed forces from breaking through to Rogizne (Rogozhky). The supply route of this town is crucial for the Ukrainian defenders in Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk.

In the central battle area of Pokrovsk (Red Army Village), the Russians eliminated most of the Ukrainian forces in Novo Ukrainka and raised the unit's flag in the center building of the settlement. Remaining Ukrainian forces have retreated northward to Chunihske village, establishing a new defensive line based on the Gluboka gully. The Ukrainian forces have built a new defensive system with the water body on the southern side as a barrier.

In the western direction of Pokrovsk (Red Army Village), the Russians are expanding their control over the areas around Shevchenko and launching an offensive against the villages of Pervoye Maya and Troianda. Due to the limited presence of the Ukrainian armed forces in these villages, capturing these strongholds will be a necessary prerequisite for the offensive and complete encirclement of Pokrovsk.
