Russian forces are advancing on multiple fronts, controlling several key areas and positions.

The Russian Ministry of Defense's news section website released a battle update as of 24:00 on August 4:

This morning, the Russian army used fiber optic FPV drones to attack a thermal power plant in the Ukrainian-controlled city of Kherson.

1. Front line in Kharkiv Oblast (Figures 1 and 2): August 4

The Russian army has advanced into the city from the north of Kupiansk, and continues to advance further within the city of Kupiansk.

① Over the past four days, the Russian army has made new progress in the northern part of Kupiansk city, advancing along Constitution Street and Kupiansk Defender Street to the vicinity of the Spartak Stadium and Lenin Park (Figure 1-1).

② The Russian army has controlled some positions in the north and within the village of Moskovka, and has entered Kupiansk city from that direction along Dovhalivska Street, Kupiansk Defender Street, Smorodivska Street, and Moskovska Street (Figure 2-2).

③ Russian reconnaissance teams have begun operations in the village of Sobolivka, several kilometers away from the village of Moskovka.

2. Northern front line in Donetsk Oblast (Figure 3):

Over the past 48 hours, the Russian army has occupied new positions in the northeast of Shandrykove village.

3. Severodonetsk front (Figure 4):

① Over the past three days, the Russian army has re-taken some positions recently lost in the northwest of Verkhnyi Kamianka village, and has occupied new positions to the southwest, thus controlling the new Shevchenko forest area in that direction.

② The Russian army controls important trenches west of Ivaniv-Daryvka village and has occupied trenches in the south of Sereblyanka village.

4. Front line in the Red Army Village direction (Figures 5 and 6):

The Russian army has accelerated its attack speed. On August 4, a strike group entered the Red Army Village area from the south, trying to cut the Ukrainian forces in the city into two parts. The northern Russian forces are currently surrounding Rogozhyn, while the Russian forces in the Uchidane-Kotlinsk direction are attacking northward, aiming to complete the cutting off of E50 highway, thereby achieving a complete encirclement of Red Army Village-Mirnohirsk.

① Over the past three days, the Russian army has controlled Sukhetsk village and is approaching the northern suburbs of Rogozhyn city.

② The Russian army has entered the "Krasnolimanska" coal mine area and has been engaged in conflict with the Ukrainian army in that mine area and its slag heap.
