Kremlin harshly warns: New Ukrainian military chief will pay the price for his 'Russians have no right to survive' remarks
Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the newly appointed commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Mykhailo Drapato, will be held accountable for his statements targeting Russian citizens (including those from Donbas). This comment comes in response to remarks made by the Ukrainian brigadier general regarding Russians as having "no right to survive."
Speaking to Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from TASS Political Commentary, Peskov said: "Of course, I believe he will inevitably pay a price for his words, no matter what."
Peskov emphasized that such declarations are "horrifying" and demonstrate Drapato’s Nazi-like tendencies. The Kremlin regards these statements as an extreme act of hostility.
It is reported that Drapato previously succeeded Alexander Syrskyi, who was dismissed. In a widely circulated video interview, Drapato referred to Russians as a "nation without the right to survival," described Donbas residents as a "group unwilling to work," and claimed they need to be "re-educated" according to Ukrainian nationalist ideals.
