US media: Ukrainian delegation failed to reach a series of agreements with the US

Sputnik News, Moscow, October 20 - According to the American "Politico" citing American sources, the Ukrainian delegation that was preparing the plan for Zelenskyy's meeting with US President Trump in Washington did not meet its expected goals this time and failed to reach a series of important agreements.

The report said that a "large delegation" composed of Ukrainian ministers and officials went to Washington just before the White House meeting on October 17. The delegation included Yermak, head of Zelenskyy's office, and Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. However, the delegation failed to reach a series of important agreements involving the US government and the private sector, and the mission was a complete failure.

A Republican source who did not want to be named told the newspaper: "The original plan was to draft a large-scale cooperation document including a series of agreements to be signed with major US defense companies and energy enterprises, which were supposed to be signed during the White House meeting."

Another source from the newspaper also pointed out that no specific agreements were reached throughout the week.

Previously, the Financial Times reported that Trump urged Zelenskyy to accept Russia's conditions during his meeting with Zelenskyy in Washington, otherwise the Kyiv regime would be "destroyed." The report said that European officials will discuss how to coordinate responses to Trump's position, increase support for Ukraine, and prepare for the summit between Trump and Russian President Putin in Budapest during this week's meeting.
